Karelia Launches New Language Education Program
The Karelian Ministry of Education has launched a new program aimed at promoting use and comprehension of the Karelian language. Beginning this coming year, it aims to combat the low proficiency rates in Karelian seen in most of the population and the perception of it not being suitable for many modern-day uses.
President in Moscow for Russian Oil Talks
President Mihajíle Pétrou is in Moscow this week for a series of talks regarding the price of Russian oil and natural gas sold to Novegrad and transit costs for using Novegradian pipelines. Pétrou is confident that an amicable resolution may be agreed upon by next week.
